I should also mention that I prefer a more liquid smoothie so I can drink it rather than eat it with a spoon. I don't have time for spoons in the morning! Lol. You could add less water or use a frozen banana if you like your smoothie thicker.
Berry Smoothie
1 banana
1 handful greens (I prefer kale or spinach, fresh or frozen!)
1 handful frozen berries (there's a bag at Costco that's a pretty good deal)
2-3 heaping spoonfuls of Greek yogurt (I like plain, and either do full fat or lowfat...whatever I happened to buy that week!)
Orange juice/Water filled in the remaining space (orange juice will make it slightly sweeter/tangier, so I often do a half and half mix)
Chia seeds or flax seeds, or sometimes both! (total about 1 tablespoon)
All you have to do is blend together! These are the proportions I use for my single serving Ninja cup. I know a lot of people hype up the Vitamix, but I personally have loved my Ninja. I've had it for two years and use it nearly every day for smoothies, soups, sauces, etc., and it has held up extremely well. I often put the parts in the dishwasher too!
